THP Founder Susan Olesek

“We cannot change what we cannot see. We must be willing to take a look at what is actually going on. On the inside. On the inside of jails and prisons. On the inside of family systems. And inside of ourselves.”
Picture
Susan Olesek is the founder and practical visionary behind The Human Potentialists. An unapologetic idealist in passionate pursuit of what is possible for people, she works to bridge the human experience in support of reconnecting each of us to our divine wholeness, as well as our shared humanity.

Susan’s unique and compelling application of the Enneagram is inspired by her work with thousands of people in both physical prisons and our self-made ones. She knows that the Enneagram was always meant for everyone, and she is working to democratize it for the greatest human good.

In 2012, Susan founded Enneagram Prison Project (EPP), a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to the self-awareness education of those imprisoned, now scaling around the globe. She brings her conviction that there is something inherently “good” in people to anyone in her presence.

Dr. Heather Greenwald

Picture
Dr. Heather Greenwald is a faculty member with The Human Potentialists. She is committed to intentional and purposeful service with a mission to co-create sustainable, interpersonal, and evolutionary ecosystems.

With THP, Heather is doing the work within - inside self, relationships, prisons, the field of mental health, and communities - to revive, reclaim, and reconnect to self, others, and the divine. She values the Enneagram in its ability to unite both ancient and modern wisdom in its origin and applicability, having developed over centuries, across languages, religions, races, ethnicities, and cultures.

Heather seeks to engage with curiosity in the applicability and availability of the Enneagram within the mental health field for evolving clinicians’ personal and professional work.

Heather serves within a maximum security prison as Chief of Mental Health.

Additional Details

Each THP therapist is an independent practitioner and responsible for their own license status, service in scope, insurance, documentation and billing.

THP therapists are provided referrals from THP when selected by the client.

Clients contact THP for service referral (online, text, email, call) and receive a video call by THP coordinator. Coordinator completes needs assessment. This step allows for THP to ensure clients are appropriate for services through a THP referral. In such cases a compassionate off ramp to other non THP services may be more appropriate at times.

Example, florid psychosis, need for acute hospitalization, chronic suicidality or active self harm may not be appropriate THP services unless providers in patients area have expressed explicitly in their profile that they offer crisis intervention, psychiatric stabilization offered.

Coordinator completes assessment and provides to client

Recommendations for the classifications of providers appropriate for referral.  Example, absence of significant serious mental illness, personal growth goals with stable presentation and absence of self injury may be referred to all classifications including coaches on THP site, whereas different presentations may lead to coordinator encouraging client to review the profiles of specific classifications.
After THP coordinator call, the client will be asked to review the profiles of the providers on the THP site in the recommended classifications. They will select up to three profiles of providers and consult calls between providers and clients will be completed.

After the consults, the provider and the therapist message in THP site to coordinator, if the answer is yes proceed or no and check off the reasons for the no to improve better matches in future.

Mutual match of client and provider results in service commencement.
